St. Thomas Chili Cook-Off!

Join us on Saturday February 6, 2010 for the 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off to benefit the youth of St. Thomas! Whether you make a mean chili, or just need a way to warm up, the cook-off has proven to be a great way to spend your Saturday. To enter your chili into the contest, contact Youth Director Deana Fisher or any of the Senior High youth. The winner (determined by money votes) will receive a great prize! All proceeds will help fund the mission trip the youth will be attending this summer. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Welcome to the Family Dinner and Talent Show

On Saturday February 20, join us in formally welcoming those who have joined St. Thomas in 2009 and in honoring those who have been baptized. The evening will be celebrated by giving glory to God through the many talents of St. Thomas members, and of course with food: pizza, mostaccioli, salad, bread sticks, and brownies. Tickets are being sold for $6 per person (ages 5 and under are free; limit $24 per family) or $7 at the door. Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m., followed by the talent show.

Our vision statement at St. Thomas is that we are people of God. “Giving thanks for what our God is doing!”

We give thanks by

  • Hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ;
  • Receiving the gift of the Good News in our worship and ministries; and
  • Sending one another out again to invite others to hear and receive.

This web site contains the many activities and programs of St. Thomas. All of these activities center around the purpose of the church; that the Good News of Jesus Christ be taught, proclaimed and applied to the needs of people; that the sacraments be administered and that the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior be extended.

If you would like to become a member of St. Thomas, please contact our church office (586) 268-2170. In the meantime, you are invited to worship with us and to find out more about our church.
